Why Street Photography?

That’s a great question. For years I have always enjoyed looking at old photographs, especially ones of places I know or regognise. It might be a photograph on a wall somewhere like in a pub that’s been there 100 years or a newspaper article, wherever I see them I just find it amazing how that photograph is a moment in time long ago and it allows the viewer a glimps into the past. Then it promps discussion and amazement about how things used to be and how things have changed or not changed. It maybe buildings, the clothes people wore, the hats, childrens toys or cars, busses and transport, the list could go on and on. It’s therefore for that reason I absoluty love street photography because long after I’ve left this world my photographs will stay and hopefully give that same feeling of amazement to future generations.
